Knuckle Down

Our Monday evening event was in Sturgis at the Knuckle Saloon...but it was more interesting than that.

When we arrives at the Holiday Inn Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City we started to receive reports of stormy weather in the area.   Sure enough it did not take long for the skies to darken and the wind to blow.   There were reports of hail so many of the Mini drivers...including you know who...ran down to move their cars under the hotel check in canopy.  Sure enough the storm, and the hail,  really hit moments later.

Instead of trying to get to Sturgis, which is about 30 minutes away everyone just hung out in the lobby.  Eventually the storm let up and we drove up to Sturgis.

Since we arrived late we didn't stay too long.  We checked in and got our daily pin and a grab and go breakfast for the morning.

Some guy asked if there was a Mini rally. 

We decided to return to a brewery/restaurant we had been to last year when we were in the area.  We had a beer and a dessert at the Firehouse Brewery and then yawned our way back to the Holiday Inn.
